How can recover my deleted/flashed bios

Remove the side panel of the computer case, using the screwdriver to unfasten the screws normally located in the back.

Remove the jumper from its normal position on the motherboard and place it in the recovery position.

Usually, the jumper will need to be moved over one space to cover a previously exposed prong.

If the motherboard does not have a jumper, removing the battery for 30 seconds and then replacing it may have the same effect.

Insert the BIOS flash disk and power on the computer.

If you used a flash tool or utility and did not create a BIOS flash disk before flashing the BIOS, then you will need to do so using a functioning computer.

Since there will be no video, listen for the internal PC speaker to beep.

This means it is performing the BIOS upgrade.

Power down the computer once the BIOS upgrade has been completed.

This process may take some time to complete, so be sure to not turn the computer off before the BIOS upgrade is finished.

Without video, the only way to be sure is to listen to the PC speaker.

When the upgrade is done, the PC speaker will beep again, and the floppy disk drive will turn off.

Replace the jumper back in its normal position and put the side panel of the computer back on.

Power the computer on.

If the computer turns on as normal, the recovery was a success.

hope this helps

How can recover a flashed/deleted/upgrade failed bios

Download the latest BIOS update from your computer manufacturer's website onto a USB flash drive. Refer to your user manual to obtain the manufacturer's website address.

If the downloaded BIOS file is a zip archive, unzip the contents onto your USB flash drive.

Jumper settings may need to be reconfigured on some motherboards to enter BIOS recovery mode. Most Intel-based motherboards have a jumper setting or switch near the on-board

CMOS battery.

The procedure for setting the jumpers will vary depending on your motherboard make and model, so refer to the motherboard documentation for specific instructions.

Power on the computer and press "F2" to access the Setup Mode menu.

If you are unable to access the setup menu, you will not be able to proceed with this repair. Take your computer to a repair shop, as the motherboard may need to be replaced.

Use the arrow key to select "Boot Priority" or a similarly named field. Press the "Enter" key.

Scroll down until "First boot priority" or "First boot drive" is selected and press "Enter."

Select the USB flash drive as the first boot priority device. Press the "F10" key to save this setting and exit from the setup menu.

Connect the USB flash drive to an open USB port on your computer.

Then let your computer fully reboot.

The USB flash drive should be detected and the BIOS should update automatically.

When the update is complete, you may be prompted to restart your computer, or it may reboot automatically.

If you are able to use your computer without any further problems of overheating or failure to recognize drives, your failed BIOS update has been resolved.

hope this helps

Factory reset compac

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->Click 'System Restore'

A 'System Restore' window will appear. Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next

Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.

Note: It is better if you could remember from which date you are facing the issue, try to select a date prior to that date.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date. Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

Presario f700 drivers

You have to download XP drivers from the manufacturer's website. This normally happens because your harware was designed for the new OS(Vista).

Just go to hp.com and search for the model of your Laptop.

Compaq presario C301TU laptop no power

Remove the main battery and try to power up, if it works replace the battery, no change! remove one stick of ram memory and repeat keeping one stick at all times, if none of these work the problem is more than likely the motherboard.
