Why has baumatic B501SS oven covered in light gray coating inside when heated, now not working

It sound like the heating element burned out. Check the element and see if there is a burned spot or blister somewhere along the element. If so the element will need replacing.

Baumatic fan assisted oven not heating up

The oven element has failed, you need to fit a new element.
It is a straight forward repair to do.
Remove inner rear panel of oven, you will see the round element at rear.
Unfasten element, detach wires, and fit new element.
Refit rear panel, and test.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Baumatic oven not heating up. Grill and fan fine.

if it is the b180, the answer (having just fixed this) is really simple.

The coily bit is the oven element - it will have gone. A new one from eBay cost me about 6 quid.
[WHEN IT ARRIVES !]

Turn the power off.
Inside the oven use a philips screwdriver to remove the 4 screws (KEEP THEM !)
You will see a coily thing and a fan.

You unscrew 3 more screws (2 on the left and 1 on the right).
(KEEP THESE TOO!)

now ... bit tricky, have the new one inside the oven and take each wire off one at a time and put it on the new element.

Screw it back on but DONT put the last panel back in.

Turn the oven on maximum for about 2 minutes and see it glow red.

Turn the oven off. Make a cup of tea and have a couple of biscuits while admiring how good you are and waiting for the element to cool down!!!

Put the final panel back in place. Whole thing (including a cup of tea) takes about half an hour.

Prob your cooling fan...it comes on to keep the appliance at a constant temp and if it doesnt it will trip out. Try turning on ur grill and you should hear the fan come on straight away, if not then you will need to replace it.

Oven has stopped heating up

Hi.

This oven should have two elements.

If both broiling and baking element are not heating, then the most common fault causing the problem is a defective temperature probe.

The probe is located inside the oven cavity.
On most ovens there is only one temperature sensor, connected in line on the circuit from electroning oven control to baking and broiling element.
When the probe fails, it will affect both baking and broiling function.

The temperature probe is tested reching the probe, cutting or disconnecting its wiring, and testing the probe at room temperature, with a multimeter set on impedance at Rx1. If the multimeter reads no continuity (circuit open), then the probe must be replaced.

If the temperature probe is good, then parts that may be responsible for the fault are oven electronic control and wiring. Having both elements failing at the same time would be rather unusual.

If only one element is failing, then the fault is probably the element. In that case you can test the element removing it from the cavity, and testing Ohms on the element. If circuit is open , then the element must be replaced.

Regards.

Thermastat or element ?

Could be both parts are faulty from symptoms you describe.
The indicator light should not be on if it is in the off position, this would suggest the thermostat is faulty.
On the other hand, if the element is faulty, then obviously, there will be no heat
To be certain if the element is faulty or not, then you need to test the element with a meter.

Neth, Im not familiar with this oven but I thing someone is handing you a line. I've been doing this for 30 years now and never saw a oven cavity arch when heating. The fact is that there is something wrong with the fan motor or fan blades itself. Call this cat back and have them honor your warranty...Catriver..post back.
