Your battery is dead..If the controller has a visible display your battery charger is most likely OK. Just put in a new Group 26R battery and set the time etc.

If you have spark and compression and it not firing then you must not have fuel. the fuel is fed from the demand regulator thru the intake independent for each cylinder. Check the intake and make sure that the NG/LP pin is all the way to the NG side.

James, Which unit are you dealing with 12k 15k 17k 20k 22k 24k? You have a ats. automatic transfer switch?

That is a full home back-up unit. You need dealer support. Contact them direct. There is nothing online about re-flashing.

Have somone hold the start button while you measure the voltage across the battery. If it is less than 11 volts, then the battery is bad.

Check the wiring from the utility through to the autostart control.; make sure all connections are solid and the wire itself is in good condition. New wire is no guarantee, several times I've had wire with a break somewhere in the reel. A non-contact voltage detector may helpful; start at the controller end, go to the other end of the wire, and see where you lose the voltage detect. It will detect voltage up to the break if you can keep the detector close enough to the wire.

Regarding the advice about "Flashing" a generator. Do you people even know what that means? What you are doing is messing with the capacitor that is part of the voltage conversion. Likely you are burning any shorts out of the capacitor. Has noting to do with the fields or coils or rectifier. So if you are having issues then test the capacitor and replace it. Try your flashing and see if you don't fry the rectifier. It amazes me that people will blindly follow something they don't understand "hoping" that something good will happen. But if a new generator is what you want then give your old one away instead of trashing it.

The manual does not specify a minimum voltage for the battery. It merely defers to battery manufacturer specifications.

Measure the battery voltage with a DMM. A fully charged battery will be 12.5 to 12.7 volts. Any reading less than 12.25 will likely be problematic for the generator system. Remove battery and have it load tested or replace with a known good or new battery.
