The battery charger is defective, as you can start it by jumping it off means it is just a low battery. without it running measure battery voltage, it should be around 12V then plug the charger back in, it should climb to around 13.8B with a good battery. If not have the float charger checked.

I had this fault show this morning. Very alarming, as we have a typhoon coming theough tomorrow! Turned out to be an easy fix. When I hit start the solenoid engaged but nothing moved. Then I saw the fault message and thought "Large $$$$!" It was just a bad 12 Volt battery, and when it couldn't crank it threw the fault code. I replaced the battery, pulled the 3 fuses on the control panel (mine is the 20 Kw model), and the codes cleared, and she fired right up. The advice here and on a couple other sites about powering down the panel to clear fault codes saved me a lot of time, money and aggravaion, not to mention a freezer full of food (knowing the Guam Power Authority, and knowing typhoons, the power WILL go down tomorrow.

Hi, if possible please check your speed sensors within your generator to make sure each is still functioning properly. Otherwise, you might have to replace the sensors before the code goes away. Thank you.

That is an engine running issue, not a battery issue. :>D The first thing to check would be fuel supply. Can you start up manually and keep it running. If you can, it is the contactor that senses your loss of mains power and switches the generator on. It is not maintaining the connection, or is is misdiagnosing the power from the generator as power from the mains.

Kohler 5e Marine or mobile/Generator?????? working on this lacking a meter and manual. ? working blind I call it. not good that ever. call for help: it has 2 coils, 2 sparkplugs 2 HV wires to fail, (1 of them) and 2coil igniter we use and ohmeter to the bad coil. primary is of coil (ignitor end) is about 5 to 12ohms. (infinity bad) secondary coil is high ohms 1000 to 10000, par, infinty bad. the HV lead is used to measure secondary to coil core metal the HV lead can fail too. making coil useless. and last a bad ignitor , the 2 coils are same P/N so can be swapped and if failure move to other plug, bingo for bad plug , otherwise bad ingnitor box.

Don't think you can check the avr it's self (capacitors you can) there are continuity tests you can do to the windings of the generator to determine a fault with that if that all checks out ok the avr is at fault

the water pump decides that and not told that. maker nor model 7.5 means kilo watt, KW. of energy;. for gen or 7500watts a pump less that that can push a lot of water GPM gallons per minute,but have not idea what you are doing.

not car moved yah lost the users manual??? in it is the schematic, and on said schematic is what kills spark dead. 1: oil switch bad. 2:kill switch bad. 3: wires too those cut or shorted. it's all there to read, ask maker for the lost manual

Check for dirty/clogged air filter. Sounds like it’s struggling to get air

Likely the carburetor inlet needle valve not closing. Remove carburetor bowl and check for debris. If nothing found, replace needle and fuel filter.

i found that the fuel pump had gotten to weak to keep fuel supplied

check the fuel system some do not have seperate fuel pumps for motor and generator
