Ifyour Windows 7 or Vista computer has encountered the dreaded "BOOTMGRis missing" error, you aren't alone. If the problem isn't hardwarerelated you can fix it with relative ease as long as you have a WindowsDVD handy.
If you don't have one, you can create a Windows Vista repair disk

The installation process will attempt to find your Vistainstallation directory. If there's more than one in the list, selectthe correct one and then use the Next button again.


Click the first link for "Startup Repair"


The installation process will repair the system, and then prompt for you to reboot.
Alternatively you could have chosen the Command Prompt option instead,and use the following command to fix the boot options only: bootrec /fixboot

At this point you should be able to reboot your computer, remove the DVD and everything should be working.

Since you are running XP you actually have a chance to get the card up with the Creative drivers however the drives that are online will not work what you will need to do is call Creative's tech support and order a replacement driver CD. Unfortantly I could not find my Live card list of what driver CD supports this disk. Also you might try looking on the Internet as someone might have posted the ISO out there. As a reminder if you download any thing from a 3rd Party scan the file with your Anti-Virus software before you install it.

Windows xp service pack 3 is your problem. SP3 takes a lot of memory to use. You should be able to uninstall sp3 and go back to sp2.

The problem still exists. A couple of experts have given me recommendations, none of which were successful. Downloading of drivers always brings me to a place that requires registration and then
offering solutions for a price without a guarantee of success.

Goto creative.com. Select support. You will need the model number off the sound card. It is etched onto the card itself. Sometimes you have to take it off to read it.

On windows the mic is disabled by default, you need to HELP NUMBER +1 833 272 0777manually enable audio in, either from control panel, or from audio card mixer.
