You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, it all depends on what has happened since the files were deleted.When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that tells the system where the data for those files is located. The area containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new files to be written there instead. as far as I remember its the wireless working, if you press the button on the far right u can disable the wireless..this will turn off the flashing green light.

Usually a good indication that either A. the battery is bad even though you just purchased it or B. the battery is non compatible with the charger.

you shouldn't panic about this as it is almost a perfectly normal thing for some of the teeth of a charger to go into a phone port when it is connected. for example some sony ericsson phone have about 10 pin points and not all of them come in contact with the respective pins of the charger. some of the points that are left out are usually for other accessories like an earpiece.
the best thing to do is to test your charger on another device on which you are sure it would work with on a normal basis and if possible try a working charger on your pocket pc. with that you would be able to narrow down where the fault is coming from, be it from the charger or the phone.

well i have the same problkem and i found out that you have to buy your own external battery and connect to sync device.You could buy it at amazon .com

Could be that the radio is dammaged but could also have just gotten turned off. You should go to Settings or Connectivity and ensure that the radio is on.

Dell made an entry into the market of Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) with Axim X5. The Dell Axim comprises of families of X5, X3, X30, X50 and X51. The Dell Axim PDA can be connected to the computer either by using a cradle or a sync cable. The sync cable connects the device to the computer directly. Here are the steps for connecting a Dell Axim to a computer using a sync cable.

1. p 1 The Microsoft ActiveSync software must be installed in order to connect the PDA to the computer. This software is found in the Dell Axim Pocket PC Companion CD.
   
2. Step 2 The Axim X51 PDA has a 36-pin connector, while the X3 has a 22-pin docking connector.
   
3. Step 3 Connect the USB connector found at the end of the sync cable to the computer.
   
4. Step 4 Check the PDA. If the PDA is not properly cabled to the computer, you will get the following message: “Connect your device to a computer using a sync cable or cradle before running the system update. Ensure that ActiveSync is installed on the computer and that the ActiveSync connection is successful.”
   
5. Step 5 Ensure that the Dell logo faces upward.
   
6. Step 6 Use the sync cable to set up a partnership, which can be done multiple times when you sign in as a guest.
   

All versions of activesync will handle this device providing it is powered by Microsoft Widows Mobile, Microsoft Windows CE, or a similar Microsoft Windows Powered OS. I am unaware of what your specific device utilizes; however I do know that all versions of ActiveSync will provide support to devices listed above.

The CD is most likely a support plug-in or a remote install for desktop to device software.

Please consult Dell's support and Drivers site for any additional information or pieces of software you may require. You should however, providing your desktop/laptop computer is using > Windows XP, be able to utilize limited access abilitys of your device (such as transfer of files) given Windows Mobile device recognition.

Have you set up the Connection properly on the X3?
As i have had a similar problem with the X30 i had to go through the network connections config and fiddle around with them until it connected properly. sorry i could not provide any specifics in this situation as it has been at least a month since i set it up.

Does the light come on while charging in the cradle? if so there is a power button where the light is. also try taking the battery out and putting it back in to see if that works

I have had that problem with other USB devices i suggest trying a different USB port as the USB port you have used to connect the X3 to is most likely malfunctioning.

If you save the document in word 97/2000 it should work with the X30 version of word.

1. Download Axim X3 English (A01) setup, link from here --> http://www.slipstreamsolutions.co.uk...dates.htm#Dell
2. run the setup and make a backup ROM of youre x3, save someplace handy. I now have a file named A01-10240300GE.RIS
3. Run setup again, try to upgrade, get an error message - wrong language, etc but in that DELL folder, you now have a file named, in my case, P16R_A04080402EN.IMG
4. Open with a hex editor A01-10240300GE.RIS and copy all lines from 00 to 07
5. Open with a hex editor P16R_A04080402EN.IMG, select all lines from 00 to 07 and paste there the 7 lines from the first file, save with any name WITH .ris EXTENTION!
6. Run setup again, choose backup/restore and point to the modified .ris file. Now you have the same thing in that window, up and down side.
Do like a normal backup, DO NOT TOUCH THE PDA, THE PROCESS CAN TAKE UP TO 12 MINUTES!
The PDA restarts itself and, voila, you have axim x3 with a new language.

If you had made a backup of your device then you can recover the list along with everything else you had stored in the backup. If you had been previously synced, MS Outlook will contain your contact list and all information as such will be restored onto your device. If you had added contacts after the last sync........ They will have to manually be reentered.
