buy a newer one/or/take it to be repeared

If this printer is a few years old on the load paper tray there is 2 grey rubber rings they get a flat spot on them. replace and no paper problem till the next time they wear out

Sorry to say that there arent any drivers for that printer of yours and your Mac, tok a little reading among the Mac-forums, many have the same problem as you do, but no one found any solution, many tryed other drivers but none worked out, well one managed to get the printer to print but only in black and white, and the printed page dident look well either.

You can restore the original factory default menu settings by initializing NVRAM. Try this and see what happens. from there I would need an exact message off the printer to help further.
Turn off the printer.
Turn on the printer while holding down and .
The Customer Mode menu appears.
Press Menu.
Press until Configure appears, and then press or .
Press until Maintenance appears, and then press or .Press until Init NVRAM appears, and then press or .
The Init NVRAM Are you sure? message appears on the operator panel. Press .
Turn off the printer, and then on again.

I found this solution online for you:Shut off the printer.

2 Hold down the "Continue" button while opening the front door. Then turn on the printer.

3 Keep the Continue button held down until only the "Error LED" is on then release the button. Close the door.

4 The Continue button, Ready/Data, Toner Low, and Load Paper LEDs should all be lit up.

5 Press "Cancel" a few times to cycle through the LEDs until just the "Toner Low LED" is lit.

6 Press and hold the "Continue" button until the LEDs cycle through and release only when the LED stops at Toner Low.

7 Turn the printer off and back on.

well..that EOJ line, is possibly farther down in the program settings, and is like a page break. the Dell is only doing what it's reading, so the answer is in the programming of the application. Perhaps you might query that company about how well that program interfaces with the Postscript quality printer you have?

Dell printers are junk. But you have put a lot of money into this thing. Check the alignment of the black drum, could be that something is keeping if off track a little bit.

Be sure you have set the PRNIT PREFFERENCES on your program that you are using to print the envelope to accept a #10 envelope and not 8.5x11 paper, you ALSO must set the PRINTER PREFERNECE to MANUAL FEED and not automatic so it won't look to the paper tray.

The handfeed tray normally opens from the front by pulling down on it. You can load any type of paper in this tray. Good luck.
