How do you check ink levels?
Go to Control Panel, Printers, select the 962 printer by right click once, select properties, Printing Preference, Maintenance - you should see icons for each cartridges and determine their level.
Dell Photo 944 won't print black and white
I had the same problem and just figured it out! On your control panel, choose printer and then Properties. Go to Printing Preferences and click on the Advanced tab. Under this tab is a button for More Options and then a section Complete-A-Print. I had to uncheck "use color cartridge for all black printing" and then check "use black cartridge to print in black and white." Then I had the option back to print in black and white. I have a Dell Photo 964 but I'm assuming the options should be the same. Hope this helps someone!
My 964 printer has suddently stopped recognising
The recognition is not from your printer, but from your laptop. I have had this happen before and it is VERY frustrating.
This calls for editing the registry, (or at least cleaning it out of dead links and orphan files.)
Sometimes the printer manufacturer has a program that will seek out the tendrils of software to allow you to re-install the drivers.
All you really need are the .dll drivers, the rest is fluff.
First go to the dell web page and look for a system cleaner.
Then try this..
go to www.winfiles.com (it will redirect you) and type in the search bar : "registry cleaner" (without the quotes)
nothing fancy. Run it and let it ferret out all of the broken links.
(Please do a system backup prior to this) Start/Accessories/system tools/Backup and restore

Code 1203 appears and won't print

Light flashing say ink low
try to remove the ink cartridge and re insert it again. Then cancel all the pending documents to be printed on the system tray of your desktop and restart pc. Hope this will help.
Overiding Empty Cartridge error for Dell A10 962
maybe it have the ink level chip which can be resetted by removing the cartridge and oning and offing the printer for 5 times within 10 minutes coz it saves data of a cartridge upto 5 use before only.. and 6th time insert it.
Dell AIO 962 can't get a dial tone
There are 2 phone jack ports on the back of the 962.
One for line, one for phone.
You want to plug the phone line into the port that says "line" or "Fax".
If it's plugged into the wrong one, your fax machine will not get a dial tone.
I am trying to install
Dell has not realesed a official Windows 7 Driver for your printer. You can check this site
here for official drivers to get you going. Some people have had varying success with the windows Vista Drivers when using Windows 7.
If I find a decent "user created" driver I will post it for you.
