Labtec DC-505 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
I now use windows7, not
This would be correct as Windows XP devices will not work on windows 7 operationg systems because th manufacture ether went out of business or the camera is basically out of support for Windows 7.
Solutions:
1. Dual Boot
2. VM WARE
3. Windows 7 ultimate running a windows xp virtual machine.
The fact your device is not supported by Windows 7 or even the manfacture anymore should tell you to purchase a newer camera.

Installing problem
If the memory card is removable, you can purchase a card reader to download your images that way. Or if you connect camera (via cable) to an XP machine it may find "new device" and let you download images that way.
I need to know if i can download the DC 505 driver for free
It depends on what operating system you are using.
Here is a link for the driver (looks like it's for Windows Vista, XP, 2000).
From the description: "You must have DirectX 9.x or higher and Internet Explorer 6 or higher
installed prior to installing this software. If you have Windows XP,
you must have at least Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed."
Enjoy!
Driver not compatible w/ Windows XP SP2
All i can say is that this labtec device is useless. i have lost all hope after searching for drivers and trying to get it to work but i have been unsuccessful
My open view is not showing any pictures but showing information about programs playing what might be the problem
Some steps you can try:
Check Picture Location:
Ensure that the pictures you want to view are in the same folder location. Sometimes, if the images are scattered across different folders, they may not appear correctly in the photo viewer.
Repair or Reset the Photo App (for Windows 11):
Go to Settings > Apps > Photo.
Click on Advanced options.
Choose either Repair or Reset to address any potential issues with the Photo app.
Enable Thumbnail Previews (for Windows 10):
Open File Explorer Options:
Type "file explorer options" in the Windows search bar and select the first result.
Switch to the View tab.
Ensure that the option "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is unchecked.
Click Apply and then OK to save the changes.
That is about all I can offer. If you repost, include brand and model.
