How do you make the ide drive primary in the poweredge 1400sc

Master can be single drive on one IDE channel. Or, one master and one slave on a single IDE channel. From there you have the option of expanding over to the secondary IDE channel. Hope this helps.

Installed new memory it started fine then crashed

Such errors of NO VIDEO mean:- Memory not inserted correctly: pls remove and insert memory again- Graphics cards possibly moved a bit while you were trying to install the memory: Remove graphics card and insert again.Another reason could be: Graphics card is brurnt! Perhaps due to touching the chipset with hands full of static electric. If above 2 suggestions do not work, put your graphics card in another PC and check if it works, if not -bad luck- replace it.

Dell PowerEdge 1400SC Can not locate hard drives or partition

The controller (probably a RAID controller) that the drives are connected to is one for which Windows does not have the correct drivers. You need to supply the proper driver and .INF files during the initial load. The process used depends on the version of Windows you are installing.

How i turn off a fan from motherboard

The fans that are plugged into the motherboard are usually powered by the motherboard. To turn them off, simply unplug them as there is always a power flow going through the motherboard and even more to power the fans when the system is running. I would recommend keeping the fan in if possible to help with cooling your PowerEdge 1400 server, but if it must be removed, simply power your server down, and unplug the fan. Make sure your server is powered off before doing this, as you don't want to short anything out or cause a spark.

Power is 2950 i912 sel full

Namrata_stha, The I912 error is referring to the System Event Log is full of events and because of this is unable to log anymore. You must clear the log in order for the Server Management controller to log any more events. Now depending on the OS installed there are different ways to clear it. If Windows Server 2k8 you would use this command - wevtutil el ' foreach { wevtutil cl $_ } Where with Server 2003 you can go tot he Event viewer and clear it. Let me know if this helps.

Dell poweredge t105 freezes at boot

You will have to get into the controlled setup in order to find out what the problem is, or you can simply hit ctrl-D and do the Dell disk diagnostics which will take an hour or more, but will give you an idea of where to start. Logically, if it won't boot, then your RAID is probably broken. it can sometimes be repaired through either the RAID or controller setup menu, which you can see during boot. go here, for the manuals and documentation on how to do that: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/poweredge-t105/manuals
