The proper value cannot be figured out within the specified time by the correction of the patch density correction /K. Or, the proper value of the developing DC output is 0 or lower.

Associated Parts:
• Printer control board
(PRCB)
• Developing unit /K
• IDC sensor (IDCS)
• IDC shutter solenoid
(SD3)

Remove the black (K) Drum. behind and toward the front is a silver/chrome looking thin bar with a tine square that square is a sensor clean it or replace the drum (switch different color see if changes codes) or switch out sensor with a different one each drum has one when was the last developer was replaced for black getting close to a PM???

Magenta drum sensor is bad, or the magenta drum. Remove the drum and behind it will see a silver/chrome 1/4" near the front with very small square hole, inside that hole is a sensor that reads the drum density for that color, But first clean the sensor with a clean brush!

Flash the latest firmware first and, if that doesn't solve it, to replace the MCB. Flashing the firmware has worked well for other users with the same problem.

Check that all of the charge wire assy.'s are properly pushed in all the way in particular the cyan also ensure that the bolt at the top of the middle section is tight not just the one on the left side when closing the upper middle section housing drums and transfer belt.

I think that is the code for the black charger unit. It might be the charger itself or a board problem. Make sure the black charger is seated correctly.

Did you made all the steps from the service manual when you changed the drums and developers?

Replenish toner unit is the unit that is secured with two screws and comes to the right and these are unscrewed. The presence of this unit is signaled by a sensor positioned under the top cover. Check that sensor for proper functionality in Service Mode.

It might be the sequence you powered up. Turnoff the main power switch in the body amd the controller power. Restart the controller, this will take a few minutes, then restart the printer. Also check cables between the controler and the printer.

If you have Vcare (the service the communicates various conditions and usage data to KM), then unplug that cable, you might need your service tech to reset something. Your printer will work without the connection

Hope this helps

Check the cable connections between the printer and controller.

Restart the printer. If that does not work then turn the printer off and restart the controller then turn the printer on.
