When the printer ink was replaced the maintenance key would not have been used. If so remove off the printer , reinstall and then connect the printer.Now on theprinter properties the ink levels will show correct. Now take a test print.

second you go the control panelt in select to printer open and go set the printer and colour print set and use the printer.

Time for new printer, Printhead is clogged solid. Printhead is more expensive than the cost of a new printer.

Turn it on, when it goes from side to side, then quickly turn it off to the spot where it will allow you to open it. Then open the print cartridges and change them. Turn it back on.

Hi geoger, Can you give more detail about the lights and if they flash and in what sequence. The most likely cause is that your machine has hit the maintenance error meaning that the waste ink pads are full. This requires that the pads be cleaned/replaced and the counter within the firmware be reset. To do this, you will need the service manual for the 1290 to dismantle it and gain accesss to the pads and the software to reset the firmware counter. Have you missed removing a piece of tape that covers a vent hole somewhere? This would stop the flow of that ink.

Not really cordless wifi, you are connecting to the router or office network using a network cable. There would be ways around it using a powered wifi access point hub to the printer and use that to wirelessly connect to the router, but probably not cost effective.
