Before connecting your unit , install first the driver/software by launching the install disc . After installation has completed , connect printer with usb and power cables . Windows will recognize a new hard ware and a message will pop on your screen telling installation was successfull . Now , you can use your device .

Couple of method that will help you resolve the problem of your printer showing offline:
Method 1.

Just go to control panel, click on printers and faxes, a window will open showing you all the printers you have or have had. The current printer will have a checked mark. highlight it and right click, you will see printer offline in the box, click it. That will turn the printer online and you can print.

Method 2.

Cancel all the pring comand first that are stuck before doing this step

Click on START icon of the computer
Go to RUN
In the popup window type services.msc
On the new window go the tab STANDARD
There in that section look for PRINT SPOOLER
Do a right click on it and click on Restart/refresh.
Then give a test print, everything will work fine for sure.
