Epson Stylus Photo R300 InkJet Printer - Page 5 Questions & Answers
Ink buttom and paper light one after one
Your description of the problem is not clear but if you mean that the ink and paper lights are flashing alternately (ie: paper on, ink off then paper off, ink on) then this is a classic service required issue. You can resolve this by resetting the waste ink counter using the button presses
as described here.It is still a good idea to install a waste ink kit to collect any new waste ink and avoid flooding your printer so something like the Printer Potty would be ideal.
Offline
Any number of things that could be causing this but things to try.
- Try plugging the printer into a new USB port (assuming you're using USB for connectivity
- Try a different connection cable
- Check the printer has not been accidentally marked as "Use offline" (WinXP: Right click on the printer icon and look for the relevant line)
- Check some joker hasn't set the "Printer Properties" > "Availability" time to limit access
- Check the Print Spooler service is running for your computer
Those are all reasonably common issues but usually it comes down to the cable or an OS setting.Hope that helps, albeit a bit later than you'd hoped.

Follow these steps to clean the print head from the printer's control panel:1. Make sure the printer is turned on but not printing, and the redb error light is off.If the red light is flashing or on, you may need to replace the ink cartridge.2. Press the down button to highlight More Options, then press OK.3. Use the up or down button to highlight Head Cleaning, then press OK.4. To begin cleaning, press OK.While cleaning, the printer makes noise and you see a progress bar on the control paneldisplay. Cleaning takes about 30 seconds.Caution: Do not turn off the printer or interrupt the cleaning process.5. When the cleaning is done, run a nozzle check to confirm the print head nozzles areclean.Make sure letter-size plain paper is loaded in the printer, then press Stop. The nozzle check pattern prints.6. If the pattern has gaps or missing dots, press Stop to clean the print head again. If the nozzle check pattern looks correct, press OK to finish.Note: Run nozzle check at least three consecutive times. If you do not see any improvement and you have replaced the ink cartridges, your product may require service.

Epson t13 all problem solved EPSON T13 WITHOUT CHIP , INK LEVEL ALWAYS FULL, NO NEED TO RESET INK LEVEL EACH TIME .INK LEVEL AUTO RESET WHEN PRINTER SHUT OFF.INK LEVEL LEVEL ALWAYS SHOW 100 %NO WASTE INK PAD COUNTER MORENO NEED TO WORRY WHILE PRINTING MORE PRINT JOBSnow no more ink cartiledge not recognise problem
I would like to unlock my printer from the service required mode
Assuming you are referring to an R300 then you can use the keys on the printer itself to reset the waste ink counter and get out of the "service required" mode.1. Press and hold 'stop' 'maintenance' and 'power' buttons for about 10 seconds, a message will come on the screen saying counter is reset and to turn off.
2. Turn your printer off and then back on - job done.
IMPORTANTWhen resetting the counters you should really replace the waste ink
pad or fit some form of external waste ink tank, like a Printer Potty, as the pads will eventually oversaturate and start leaking waste ink out of the printer or backing up ink into the printhead causing clogging.
Ink carts not recognised
OK, i know this one ;-)
1 take out the cartridge thats not recognised ( 1 or all dont matter)
2 do a ink change with no ink in
3 put ink cartridge(s) back in.... wiggle the cartridge(s) to seat the "chip" right
4 do a ink change again, if not just follow the steps again.
I had to do this 5 times the other day before it picked it up.
It does work
