Replace inkjet cartridges
Hi,
if you want to replace the inkjet cartridges, power on your printer and open the upper cover. The inkjet cartridges will then automatically go to the middle position, where you can simply pull them out.
Half the words are not printing
The epson has a self cleaning program. press together the top buttons - power and maintenance key. and the printer will start a cleaning process. If you had installed the full sofware of the printer to your PC then you can also access the printer functions and do it fromt he PC.If this wont clear the issue, there could be a possible printing head damage. How to change ink cartridges
Turn the printer on.
Lift the lid to expose the print-heads.
After a few seconds, the print-heads will slide to the position where the ink-cartridges can be removed.
Check the diagrams on the inside of the lid.

You did not mention what is your Operating System. If you have the Software disk to install the printer on PC, Insert the Disk in PC and continue with the installation on the SCreen and later connect the Printer.

Yes it should be, but first try to uninstall the drivers, disconnect the printer usb cable connection, turn off the printer.
then install again your drivers, but dont connect the usb cable yet,
when the software prompts that it should be connect it, connect usb cable then power on the printer, let it run what it should do, dont interrupt any installation, when its done, youre off to go.
How do I change the ink cartridges?
Step 1:Purchase an ink cartridge made specifically for your printer.
Step 2:Turn on your printer and raise the lid or press the cartridge changing button.
Step 3:Wait for the cartridge carrier to slide out.
Step 4:Put your finger behind the ridge on the top front of the old cartridge and pull it toward you to remove. If you have an Epson printer, lift the cartridge holder lid, and the cartridge will pop up for removal.
Step 5:Carefully remove the tape from the ink opening on the bottom of new cartridge.
Step 6:Insert the new cartridge into the cartridge carrier. Make sure the new cartridge is oriented the same way that the old cartridge had been.
Step 7:Feel and hear the cartridge click into position. On some models, arrows will indicate the cartridge is correctly positioned.
Step 8:If you have an Epson printer, close the cartridge holder lid and press the cleaning button to charge the cartridge.
Step 9:Close printer cover.
