There is a button on the handle that releases the suction tube from the floor brush housing. Once the suction tube is released from the brush assembly, you can install the attachments on the suction tube.

In a nutshell, the metal tube pretty much just slides back into the tube top, and then the slid-in tube clicks back into the top of the machine. Good Luck!

It may need a new switch. If it runs for a while and shuts off it maybe overheating and need new filters.

You can remove the hose by turning the vacuum upside down. You do not need to get into the nozzle assembly

What is a Dydon?

Did you drop the handle on the floor? or against the wall. If the turn on switch is in the handle, it can dislocate the power source. best to take it in to a repair shop, but sometimes it's an easy fix if you are mechanically inclined.

There's no switch per sey, but there is a clutch activation knob, on the right side of the base, as you're standing behind the unit. There should be a Carpet or Hard floor setting, just two. Twist it to change from one to the other. However, all this is meant to do, as far as I know, is to turn on the brush roll or turn it off, by means of a clutch system. I don't think it has anything to do with the wand assembly.
