Have blank screen with sound. Flashlight test shows writing etc. Says cable not hooked up when it is. When HDMI cable is hooked up it shows up.

Hi, I hope I can help with this. It could be either the colored cables are not positioned correctly (they should all be on the same row) or it is on the incorrect TV Input. This can happen when we have other devices connected to the TV such as CAble box, gaming console (xbox, ps4,wii), dvd player, etc. The fact that you said the HDMI cable works fine and shows picture, it tells me it has to do with those colored cables. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/laura_08254539050d64db

Why my samsung tv model un40es6100f power light is blinking for about 5 times?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/

How do I fix my Samsung 40 LED TV that has sound but no picture?

Here is what to check when your TV is turned on, power light is ON, but no picture is seen or sound is heard: 1 - Be sure the component you are using (Xbox, Cable, SAT, ROKU) is turned ON. 2 - Check to be sure all cable and cords are securely connected to the TV inputs and component outputs. 3 - Make sure you are on the correct input as some TV's will show a black screen if there is nothing connected to that input. 4 - Unplug the input you are trying to use from the TV (such as an HDMI Cable) and plug it back in. 5 - Check for signs of damage on all cords and cables from the TV to all components. 6 - Make sure the TV is not in ENERGY SAVE MODE, press the button on the remote control to go back to normal mode. 7 - Unplug the TV for 10 minutes to see if there was a temporary one time issue with the TV. 8 - Disconnect the TV from power for 2 minutes, then when plugging it back in PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON ON THE TV FOR 10 to 20 SECONDS to try and force the TV to reset. 9 - If after checking all these different issues, you may have a Faulty Power Supply Board, A Bad Capacitor on the Power Supply Board, Loose Wire Harness, or Loose Ribbon Connector in the TV itself. 10 - Most likely when a TV has the power light ON but NO PICTURE and NO SOUND, it is the Power Supply Board that has failed. Picture thatching?

Hate to give you some bad news...But, It sounds like you have a bad screen. Samsung had several issues with the screens on this model. You may get lucky and may have a bad T-con board. The small board at the top center of the TV. If you want to give it a try? Buy a used one,so you don't loose that much money. If is the screen? Some people have had luck complaining to Samsung about it. They may provide a replacement screen, but you still have to pay a shop to install it. The T-Con board part number is...shopjimmy-lj94-02601f-top.jpg Samsung LJ94-02601F or this one depending on what screen is in yours. shopjimmy-lj94-02349c-top.jpg Samsung LJ94-02349C

My Samsung PN58C8000 plasma tv has red banding on white backgrounds. I see this a problem with this tv. How do I repair this and how much will it cost? The tv is out of warranty.

I have the exact same TV with the exact same problem. The issue is called diffusion and is not repairable. A Samsung repair tech can adjust the voltage settings but this will only work for a few weeks and cost a little more than $100. If you call Samsung they may be willing to issue you a new panel gratis (they did for me) but you will have to pay labor for the swap (about $400). If you do this the new panel will start to act up just like the old one so I would advise against it. Samsung will also claim that this is not a common problem which isn't true - especially for the 58" models which are seeing many extended warranty claims (which I didn't purchase).Best advice is to deal with it until you can't take it anymore and then buy a new TV but avoid Samsung in general and especially their plasmas. That is the route I am taking. And bashing Samsung for bilking me out of $400 6 months ago to replace a defective product with an equally defective one and then saying so sorry but you're now on your own.
