8 out of 10 times this would be because the power supply failed due to a power surge. 1 out of 10 times it would be because the main board got a surge through, say, antenna input and got fried. 1 out of 10 times this would be totally unrelated failure to the lightning that could have happened for whatever other random reason, but would still be one of the two failures mentioned above, just for a differnet reason. Dude check your A/V or HDMI cables or whatever you use. HDMI cables can be tricky. Make sure that the different shades of color are matched up exactly. Ex: make sure light blue isn't plugged into the dark blue slot. it may not appear as if it matters but trust me it does.
