Virus on pc. installed norton internet security.

Never before have I heard of a VIRUS installing ANTI-VIRUS software. I have had intermittent mouse problems before though. Thought it was a virus, as I interchanged with like 4 other (used) mouses (mice?) and there was no change. Found a fifth used mouse-a genuine Microsoft mouse (I was running Vista 64bit Home Premium) and installed it and my mouse problem disappeared ("installing new device"). I couldn't figure it out for the longest time, (still can't), I'm just glad it cleared up.
I run AVG FREE antivirus software and Ad-Aware anti-spyware (also FREE). I run both of those at least once a week, in addition to defragmenting once a week, haven't had a problem since.

Specs for a Hard Drive

Anything you have should fit in there, you will have to upgrade the operating system, but the hard drive shouldn't be a problem so long as the computer is new enough to auto configure the hard drive.

How do i use a memory stick

How to use a memory stick or USB
I will assume you are using windows. as you can see your USB memory stick has a metal connector with a plastic insert; that was made to fit in the connector on the back or sides of computers. the computer has several places to insert the memory but this device will fit properly in just the correct jack and it will go in in just one position, you can not turn it over and insert it.
after you do that windows will install the driver (software) for the device and it is going to open a window asking what do you want to do at this point you can click on any option but if you want to see your files or save files, click on the folder that says view files.
that opens the device, if it is brand new there would be no files. At that point you can drag all kinds of files in to the memory and store them.
the other option after you insert the memory, close the asking window and click on my computer from here you can see your memory stick, click on it and it will open, drag files to it or out of it in to your computer.
when you are creating documents or files you can save them in to your memory stick. Just click on file--save as--computer--memory stick (name or model)--save or ok.
when you are ready to disconnect your memory stick go to the clock area on the right corner, there is an icon of a connector with a green check mark click on that and then stop device, select your memory stick-stop, wait for confirmation and then you can unplug it >>>>failing to do this may damage your files or memory stick<<<<<<

if it works for you don't forget to rate me
thx

I have a windows 98 system bios and i wish to Put

Hi
It probably won't work. Win 98 machines not only had older BIOS but also the processor was older and most importantly the video was older. XP may just not be able to recognize these parts. In my lab I use an old Dell laptop that was made specifically for Win 98. I was able to install XP but the graphics stay in four color mode as there were no drivers ever written for XP. Also the hard drive with XP was probably formated using NTFS while Windows 98 (unless modified) only recognizes FAT. Good luck and sorry

Difference between hub and server

Hub, sometimes referred to as a concentrator or repeater Hub, refers to a networking2_bing.gif component which acts as a convergence point of a Network, allowing the transfer of data packets.

In its simplest form, a hub works by duplicating the data packets received via one Port, and making it available to all ports, therefore allowing data sharing between all devices connected to the hub.

A networknetworknetwork serverserverserver is a computer that provides various shared resources to workstations and other servers on a computer networknetworknetwork. The shared resources can include disk space, hardware access, and email services. Any computer can be a “networknetworknetwork serverserverserver.” What separates a serverserverserver from a workstation is not the hardware, but rather the function performed by the computer. In general, a workstation is any computer used by an individual person to perform his or her job duties, while a networknetworknetwork serverserverserver is any computer that provides users with access to shared software or hardware resources.
