NTS G1000. How to reset Clerk password

Have the same problem. My son's is new with new batteries doing the same thing right out of the box. I've concluded the coil or wire is faulty. Hope to get it replaced soon and hopefully it will work. I'd assume it's a manufacturing defect due to the coil being assembled incorrectly or the wire has a short. Not going to tear into it to find out since it is new but If the next one is defective then we will go with different brand. I'm leaning towards a coil defect (the sensor at the end).
