I can not open computer, because someone reset

1st Method:
Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys twice and it'll show Classic Login box. Now type Administrator (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Now press Enter and you should be able to log in Windows.
Now you can reset your account password from Control Panel - User Accounts.
Same thing can be done using Safe Mode. In Safe Mode Windows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen.
2th Method:
Windows password Recovery software:
for example:Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 . It is easy and convenient to use.

This computer comes with the Windows XP operating system and--if necessary--can be reloaded with the operating system. A friend passed down her ibm thinkpad t20 to me,

The drivers you need are available from the website listed below, please note that the drivers only support Windows XP and below. Because of the age of the laptop, you will not find drivers to support Vista/7:http://support.lenovo.com/en_FI/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-4JSQHB

I can not get the internet to come through - can

Your internet settings have an issue. if you can open up the network connections and click on the available ICONS , you will be able to confirm the status and working. If not remove the connections and reset the internet settings according to the router or enter the WIFI password. No dial up option is required for WIFI and all what is needed is to select and set up a new internet connection with the protocol needed.

Poor sound quality

Thank you for clarifying for us what it is you have, it's very helpful. I don't know how long you've had the TV, is there a chance that there is a guarantee covering it if it indeed has any problems? (not for us to know, just thought I'd bring it up.) Some suggestions: I see from the spec's that the TV has a headphone jack. You should try headphones when the problem is exhibited, (even if they're for your IPOD) if the headphones sound clean it's probably the speakers. If the distortion is present in the headphones, it's probably not the speakers, or anything else in the TV. In which case I would suspect a problem with the source, you know, the old garbage in - garbage out. Even digital cable is not immune to such problems. It's only as good as the guy that set it up. Hope this helpful for you.
If you find my suggestions to be helpful, please share with us some details so that others may benefit from knowing the whole story. Thank you!

HARD DRIVE

If your ThinkPad does not boot up or you get this error message -
The error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard diskhas failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty. First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If this does not work then reboot and go to theBIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn'tdetect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Next - to determine if thehard drive is faulty, remove the hard drive and insert it into an USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a workingcomputer's USB port. If this computer cannot see itas an external hard drive and you cannot open the various folders and files, this confirms the hard drive is faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptopagain.

I am getting an error

That is a EEPROM checksum error and the only way to fix it is to find the correct version of the EEProm and replace it on the motherboard, or replace the motherboard all together. If you are concerned about the data on the drive, go to any computer store and pickup and external USB drive chassis for $20.00 and copy the data to a new system. You could replace the motherboard with and board compatible with your CPU and memory and use all of your old hardware. Otherwise, for about $200.00 you could just replace the computer. Sorry the new is not better for you.
