| | Installing this wireless adapter couldn't have fried the motherboard, right? ||I would not have thought so .. the software may have caused an issue --- as the PC boots tap F8 you should get a menu - choose "last known good configuration" ---- if that does not work, reboot and again tap F8 as it boots and this time choose safemode - then see if you can restore start>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore> choose a date to before the data you installed the wireless adapter software

Try setting up xp again. If you need the files as is, try repair from the xp cd while boot from the cd.

You guys could try the following to bring back the browser service, if it's not a connection or dns issue:



1. in the cmd run "regsvr32 actxprxy.dll" and "regsvr32 shdocvw.dll"

2. reboot windows



If the above couldn't fix the issues, run the following extra commds:

and restart the system once again

The power comes into the plug on the back of the computer. This connects it to metal traces inside the mainboard of the computer. that message means that windows 2000 professional/98 is not installed which means you have a blank computer you need to put the disk that came with it in and install the OS or purchase one but i'll warn you now those disk are not cheap around a couple hundred bucks

If it's still under warranty, IBM should come out & fix it. Call them.

The ThinkPad T21 is a laptop with a single drive bay.
You cannot setup this laptop with two hard drives in any RAID configuration.
You can add an external USB hard drive and copy/backup data to this hard drive.
OR
You can connect this laptop to a network and copy/backup data to another computer/server on the network.

u have to install drivers for usb connections.
i guess u have 98 version of windows. if u have windows 98 operating system u have to have install drivers for every USB devices.

try to start it with the battery out by pluging it straight, the battery is dead and its causing problems
