Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2 Digital Camera - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Hi, I have just purchased the lumix fz200 and have
Sounds crazy but just make sure yo have removed the lens cover. If it does not work then something is wrong with your Panasonic and i would immediately return it for a another new unit that works properly. You might want to check manual to see if you are doing something wrong but I don't think so.

Image 'melts' into
I think the technical term is 'ruined'. Cameras are not built to withstand such abuse. Repair is unlikely to be cost-effective, so replacement seems the only option, taking the cost out of the kids' pocket money.
I am curious, though - why on earth did you leave an expensive electronic device anywhere that they could get hold of it ?
Panasonic lumix dc vario can't download pictures onto computer
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as
Picasa.
Update firmware
There is no update for the DMC-LZ2 available If Panasonic has new firmware for any camera, it will contact all registered owners and tell where and how to get and install the update.
Be aware, you only can update a correct working camera. There is no way to update a camera that does not function for 100%

What type and size memory card are you trying to use? The DMC-LZ2 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Canon EOS 400d - See the image on the screen?

I turn my dmc-fh27 camera
Warning: This is only a last resort if you no longer have a warranty.I used a variety of different methods, but here's what worked for my camera. Apparently the lens was just off the track.1. Turn on the camera, and smack the back against the palm of your hand to get the lens to come out.2.Hold the lens out until the "error screen" comes up.3. Take the camera with the lens facing towards you, and use your thumbs to push on the lens.4. Push firmly until the lens "clicks".5. Turn off camera, then on again.6. Hopefully cry tears of joy that you fixed it.
Camera turns on, but LCD screen is black
Solution: Turn the camera on. Put it into camera mode so the lens opens. Then push up on the underside of the lens, you'll see the screen light up and it can now take pictures. This worked for me for a month or two. The problem is that I have to keep pushing harder and harder to get it to turn on, and now it turns back off as soon as I stop pushing. So I have to get a new camera. This is a widespread problem with this camera. I previously paid Panasonic the $162 to fix the zoom freezing up. I'm not paying again.

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures.
