Would like to know where
Your Sony CDF-E75 does not require external power adaptor; it has an AC power input so you can plug here the included power cable. Do you need the power cable or do you need the internal transformer?

No power to unit
Remove the power plug and reopen the unit. Usually the socket will be soldered directly to a Printed Circuit Board. Look in the underside (where the solder joints are and you'll see the joints associated with the power socket. One of these is either a bad connection or the solder pad has lifted and broken the track on the PC board.
If it's the solder pads give them a workout with a soldering iron if it still plays up scrape the protective lacquer of the PCboard Tracks and resolder them to the socket's solder joints. This should solve your problem.
The best way to spot a bad connection is to reinsert your plug (making sure the other end isn't plugged into the wall socket) and lever the plug up, down, left and right. If there's anything faulty you'll see it. The solder joints will move very slightly and if the track is fractured you should spot that too.
One other tip is that there is a switch built into the socket which will disable the battery power when you plug the unit into power. I have seen a few of these switches go bad but the chance of that is extremely small. I'd put my money on the socket's solder joints.

No sound from cd player
the laser lens needs cleaned most likely, you can purchace a cleaning disk, or take the unit apart and used a eyeglasses cloth and very gently wipe the lens clean. the lens will be very small and near the motor that spins the cd. when wiping it off, wipe in one direction only. if that doesnt work then the laser has become weak or has quit working
The tuner not working
First thing to try would be to take out all of the batteries, including the clock battery if there is one. Wait 12 to 24 hours and reinstall the batteries. If that does not work, then there is a problem between the microprocessor and the varactor tuner inside this radio, and unless its less then one year old ,for warranty repair, it most like would not be worth the diagnosis charge or repair charge.
