How to Hard Reset/Factory Reset Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0Android 4.0 ... hi I got the same one as you and ...
Do you have the Password or Pin? It's a four digit code you set up in security settings for just such a case. Try to log in with a wrong swipe/pattern 5 times and then you will get a message to try again in 30 seconds, use the backup code you set up. This should get you in. If you are getting no response from touching the screen then your digitizer is out or disconnected on the inside and you need service to the machine. If you know how to open the tablet without damage you could check and see if the ribbon cable from the screen is still connected to the digitizer securely. Without more info on the device I can help you no further.
do a full restore, find the proper button sequence online for your particular model to get into the recovery menu, usually volume up or down and power for so mamy seconds but make sure first.
Hold the power button down until it turns off. May take several seconds. Then just turn it back on. Mine does this occasionally also. If it does it too often, you may have a bigger problem.
Step 1
Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the Samsung Galaxy Tab HDTV adapter.
Step 2
Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to a free HDMI port on your television.
Step 3
Connect your Galaxy Tab's travel charger to the other end of the HDTV adapter. Plug the travel charger into a power source, such as an electrical outlet or a computer's USB port.
Step 4
Plug the HDTV adapter connector into the Galaxy Tab's "Power/Accessory Interface" port. The port is on the bottom of the device.
Step 5
Turn on the TV. If your TV has multiple HDMI ports, use the remote control to switch to the correct one. Press the "Source" or "Input" button on the remote to switch ports. When you're using the correct port, the TV will instantly display whatever is on the Tab's screen.
