This problem is cause by the difference in the power delivery system in the USA(60HZ) and India (50HZ). The timing function for these type of Clock/Radios depends on the power delivery system. It works like a second hand in a clock or watch. With the (60HZ) you get the perfect match with the 60 seconds to a minute time intervals. In India this timing sequence is thrown off due to the power being only (50HZ).
