There is a process by which you can adjust time on all clocks. Please use that. It should be depicted by "Set". Select this followed by "Time". The numerals will start flashing. Then you can use the + or - buttons to adjust the time.

Hello
There is a Lithium battery inside your clock to get a backup even the power is interrupted for a long time. This battery may last up to 3 years eventhough there is no power to the device. If this has gone weak, the backup fucntion will not be. so check this battery.
Just reset the device. It will make it work properly. To reset the clock after total memory loss; do the folloing.

[1] Connect the radio to your AC outlet and let the clock set itself.

[2] Depress the MONTH/DATE and TIME buttons together. The display will change
from 'Time'to 'Year'

While holding the MONTH/DATE and TIME buttons, press the SET + button
to set the display to the correct Year, then release the buttons
OK.

I have had my radio

Hello
You haven't specified nothing about your Emerson Smartset Clock Radio. Nothing is there about its model number. Yet I posts this solution before you assuming that yours' is a CKS3528 Emerson Clock radio.

There is a long life lithium battery installed in this clock radio when you buy it.

This battery can maintain the time and alarm settings for 3 to 5 years, or even

longer, so there is no need to pay for a new 9-volt battery every 6 months, as
is recommended in other clock radios with normal battery back up.
But if this lithium battery has gone down [ in terms of voltage]; the display 'L" will be there. It means that, it is time to replace this backup battery. It will be of disc type, usually used as bios setting storage, used in computers. OK.

How do I set the alarm so it will activate on

Hello

Sure Alarm battery Back-Up System

This SmartSet® Clock Radio includes a Sure Alarm battery back-up circuit that can

wake you up even if the power is 'Off'at the selected wake up time. If your power

is 'Off'at the selected wake up time the clock display will be off and the radio will

not operate, but a separate mini-buzzer will turn 'On'automatically to wake you up,

even if you had selected the "Wake to Radio"option.

The Sure Alarm will sound for 30 seconds and then shut off automatically.

To stop the Sure Alarm buzzer immediately, press the RADIO ON/OFF button.

Pressing the SNOOZE button has no effect during Sure Alarm operation.

Note: In order to maximize the life of the built in lithium battery, please be sure

to set the ALARM 1 and ALARM 2 switches to the "OFF"position if the radio

will be disconnected from the AC outlet for more than a few hours. This will
prevent the Sure Alarm from turning 'On'unnecessarily.

1.) Depress and hold either the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 setting button.

The display will change from the correct time
to the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 wake up time.

2.) While holding the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 setting button, depress either the

SET + or - button to move the display ahead or back to your desired wake up
time.

3.) When the desired wake up time appears on the display, release the SET + or

- buttons.

Note: Be sure that you have set the wake up time correctly by observing

the AM indicator. If the AM indicator is 'On'the wake up time is "AM". If the
AM indicator is 'Off', the wake up time is "PM".

4.) When the desired wake up time (AM or PM) appears on the display, release
the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 setting buttons

How do i turn off

On the left side panel of the clock there should be two switches one that says alarm 2 above it the other says alarm 1 above it. Both switches should have three positions (radio, buzz and off). If you move these to the far right position both alarms should be turned off.

Need instructions for model CKS2022

Emerson does not list a CKS2022 model. Other Smartset manuals are available here: http://www.emersonradio.com/owners/SmartSet%20Series/ . The instructions for a similar model like the CKS2021, http://www.emersonradio.com/owners/SmartSet%20Series/CKS2021_ib062603.pdf , or the CKS2023, http://www.emersonradio.com/owners/SmartSet%20Series/CKS2023_020504.pdf . may be the same as those for the 2022.

BTW: you can find the directions to update your Smartset for the modified Daylight Savings Time here: http://www.emersonradio.com/dst.htm .

I hope this helps.

I lost my manual in

There are several SmartSet units by Emerson. The manuals are here: http://www.emersonradio.com/owners/SmartSet%20Series/ .

For the CKS2000N, you set the alarm by pressing Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 (both are on the top, one to the left and the other to the right) then hold the button while you use the up or down arrows to adjust the wake time. Press and hold the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 button and then press the Alarm Mode button to select the days of the week you want that alarm to ring (Weekdays, Weekends or Everyday).
Finally set the Alarm selector (on the left side at the back) switch for each alarm to Radio, Buzz or Off. If the alarn selector is off, the alarm will not ring.

I hope this helps.
