PHILLIPS AZ2555 CD STOPS READING AT 2MIN. THEN STARTS READING AGAIN .
Hi
The Cd lens moves along a threaded wind you may find this has been damaged or some build up of dust is interfering
just take a look with a torch just into the gap in the guide tracks and see if anything is stuck, failing this, try f/f and rew many times this may clear anything in the way into and back into the 2 min zone
but if you are getting discs that load very slowly it may well be the lens failing too
cheers
Can I get a cable
- No, you cannot run an IPOD to this. You can put music on this stereo from your PC after downloading the software from your computer to this stereo and then the stereo will act like an IPod/MP3 player but a physical IPod cannot be hooked up to this stereo.

Won't connect to pc
YOU DON'T NEED A USB CABLE!!! Buy a cable that has a red, white tip on it and a headphone tip on the other end then plug the red, white cable infront of the boombox. Then plug the headphone tip into the back of the pc where you would plug in regular computer speakers into it.
I don't know the exact name for the wire but some portable dvd players contain them.
I never used a usb cable too much trouble.
I have a Philips Kitchen
The skipping problem you are experiencing may be related to the shaft that the laser assy rides on. It may need a little greasing with silicon grease, just a litte bit. Or it could be the spindle motor is wobbling as it turns. If you are a little tech savy, then you can order a new CD drive assy through Ebay and swap it out when it arrives. If you get this far you need to know how to remove the solder short on the new assy otherwise the new drive will not work.

The Philips iPod dock model "AJ300D/05" is not responding when plugged in. To troubleshoot:
- Check the power source and ensure proper connection.
- If applicable, look for any blown fuses as a potential issue.
- Verify the dock connector for a secure connection with the device.
- Confirm device compatibility and consider using adapters if needed.
- Check the remote control and its batteries.
- Look for a reset function if available.
- Update any associated software.
- Inspect for physical damage.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, reach out to Philips customer support or a professional technician for further assistance or potential repair.
Why doesn't my Philips CDR820 copy a disc when I press "copy cd" then the "yes" button?
If your Philips CDR820 is not copying a disc when you press the "copy cd" button and then the "yes" button, there could be several reasons why this is happening. Here are some possible solutions you can try:
- Check the disc: Make sure the disc you are trying to copy is not scratched, dirty, or damaged. If it is, try using a different disc.
- Check the blank disc: Make sure the blank disc you are using is compatible with your Philips CDR820. Check the user manual for compatible disc formats.
- Clean the laser lens: If the laser lens is dirty, it may not be able to read the disc properly. Use a cleaning disc to clean the lens.
- Update the firmware: Check if there is an available firmware update for your Philips CDR820. If there is, download and install it to see if it fixes the issue.
- Reset the device: Try resetting the device by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes, then plugging it back in and trying to copy a disc again.
If none of these solutions work, it may be a hardware issue that requires professional repair. In that case, you may need to contact Philips customer support or a qualified technician for assistance.
