Welcome to Fixya
Did you accidentally dropped the camera? You should be able to see options when you plug in the camera to your computer. Try to reset the camera first to factory state as part of our initial troubleshooting.See procedure below:
Select reset settings icon
Press set button
Reset setting screen should appear then press YES
Press the SET button
Camera setting should be reset then test the issue again
Thank you for using Fixya!

My sanyo vpc-c5 digital camera won't turn on
If you already tried a new battery, I would suggest cleaning the battery terminals with alcohols and a q-tip first and check for loose terminals. It may be a power switch which unfortunately can't be changed or fixed by the average user. If you want to trouble shoot further and feel you can do it yourself, I will send you links on repair. Otherwise it should be brought in to a reputable repair shop.
Deleted photos
Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. - Put the memory card into an USB card reader and plug it into the USB port in your computer, then run the Recuva program.

Sanyo VPC-S770 view screen & pictures have a rosey tint
There is only one thing I can think of. If it is not this perhaps your camera is defect.
Your camera has a White balance setting. You can put it in Auto, Incand. Daylight, cloudy and Manual.
Check if it is in something other than Auto. If so, put it in Auto, till you think you can improve the colours by putting it in a special setting.
