Security for 3CRUSB10075 802.11g/b Wireless
I did not solve the problem. I chose an easier way. I just replaced the 3Com Wireless Adapter with a NetGear USB adapter for which I have security instructions.
Kind regards,
stigfred

3COM Office Connect 3CRUSB10075
are you using windows xp? vista? 98?
I'll guess at xp.(and that you're using the windows software to connect)
Double click the wireless connection icon in the bottom right (the one that flickered when you're online.
Click 'view wireless connections'
click 'change the order of preferred networks'
Now select everything on the list and delete it apart from your own.
Now click 'advanced'
make sure 'automatically connect to non-prefurred networks' is NOT ticked.
Click close, then ok.
You should be ok now.
Regards
Tony

Wireless utility software and windows xp.
Disable the 3com software from opening on bootup then go to run type in services.msc & press Enter then scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration if its set to manual or disabled right click on it & click properties. Change Startup type to automatic & then press Start once you have done that you should be able to use the windows wifi tool instead of the 3com tool. Hope that works for you.

Wireless 3crusb10075 problem
Sounds as if your router may need to be set to enable wireless connection and enable DHCP, this alocates your wireless adapter an I.P Address automatically.
If this is alraedy the case, check the properties of your adapter to see if it's set to recieve I.P address automatically.
If still no joy find your routers I.P. address and DNS address (this is what you type in your web browser to set it up).
If your router is 192.168.2.1 or similair, set your adapter at 192.168.2.2 and the same DNS address normally 255.255.255.0.
Restart both pc and router and try again.
Also make sure network sharing has been set up via the XP wizard.

Malfunction
This is one of those Cuckoo! problems.
Assuming you have enabled your wireless connections again, have you tried a system restore to a few days before you dissabled the connection to see if the settings as they should; revert back to before the problem.
If all other devices work in usb ports can't be that, if the device works in another pc, can't be that, so it's back to the software driver or a usb controller problem, on your pc that cannot start the device.

I have AVI Video and it only plays sound
Ok it is may be do you to system is old needs up to date , so that the video may not have downloaded completely from the source web portal. The media player present in your handset is outdated.
HI,
I have two 3com
I don't know anything about these units, nor do I have time to source any docs for you, but maybe you can try connecting a PC directly to the port your patch panel is connecting the the switch from, you can at least see if that port is working.
My next and only other suggestion is to invest in a "LAN cable tester". In my area, you can find cheap ones for U$20.
The tester will allow you to check connectivity between any two ports, and allows you to test both patch links and individual CAT5/6 cables.
Good luck!
