While my pc is on and i am watching movie, about 15mnts of the movie, the pc stop and restarts, why?

While the processor is running, memory buffers take care of the other precesses the computer is also running while you are watching the movie. If the memory buffer is big enough, you could get to finish your movie and the computer will not stop. If the buffer is limited, when it is at 100%, the processor will no longer run and will do a restart. When you are about 10 into your movie try to see how the processor/memory are doing. It will let you know if they are saturated. Control+Alt+Delete will get you to the option where you can Start the Task Manager. This will allow you to see the processes running and the memory usage. I see in your post your memory is only 256 MB. Computers nowdays might have 4GB of Memory to run heavy graphics. That is about 16 times what you have. You might want to increase your memory.

What is the uses of the memory

Depends on what Memory you are referring to, yampratwum1) Cache for a Processor;A small memory area on the Processor.(L1 and L2. Some Processors also went to L3 cache)Cache operates at the same frequency rate ('Speed') as the Processor. It is the First memory area the Processor accesses.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPU_cachehttp://computer.howstuffworks.com/cache.htmhttp://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/How-The-Memory-Cache-Works/4812) Ram Memory;Volatile memory. Once the computer is turned off, all memory stored in Ram Memory is GONE.Ram Memory typically operates at half, of the frequency rate of the Processor's Front Side Bus. (FSB)It is the Second memory area that the Processor accesses.http://computer.howstuffworks.com/ram.htm3) Harddrive; (Hard Drive. Hard Disk Drive)This is the Third memory area the Processor accesses. There is also a small memory area on the harddrive. This is it's Cache. It is called the Buffer.http://computer.howstuffworks.com/hard-disk.htmhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disk_bufferhttp://www.hardwaresecrets.com/printpage/1774) Virtual Memory; An area on the harddrive that Windows has allotted.Rule of thumb is Virtual Memory is one and one-half, (1-1/2) the amount of Ram Memory.Example;2GigaByte (2GB) of Ram Memory?Typically Virtual Memory will be 3GB.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_memory5) BIOS;Basic Input/Output System A program that is flashed to an EEPROM chip. The BIOS chipset.Another small memory area.http://computer.howstuffworks.com/bios.htmhttp://computer.howstuffworks.com/computer-memory.htmRegards,joecoolvette
