if you have another motherboard test the cpu there.

if you don't, then just do this with the ram, take all the ram out, and power on, it should beep or complain, let it for a moment, turn off unplug or switch off at the wall, install one of the memory modules back in and turn on.

How about the video card or is it build in to the board?

also does the powersupply have a green led on its back, is that FLASHING when you try to turn on? if so, the powersupply is probably bad, it should be steady green.
