Your particular board is not listed on Intel's site, which means it was a custom version made for some computer manufacturer. So there may be differences between it and the similar boards Intel does list. Checking the specs for other D865 chipset models shows that they can take up to 4GB total, in up to four modules of DDR400 RAM in a dual-channel setting. This means you need to have the same size and speed of memory installed in both banks. The first two slots are the first bank.

Since yours is a custom board, it may not have four memory slots, or there may be special addressing limits. So maximum memory may be less than 4GB. But the basic chipset is the same, so the kind of memory should be as well.

Just put the boards model number to any search engine, pus the word manual.
