Type of video card for D845EBG2

The Intel D845EBG2 motherboard supports AGP graphics cards.(Accelerated Graphics Port)It supports AGP graphics card's that are AGP 4X, and 1.5 Volt.(Supports AGP 2X also, but who cares)1) Good;http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681416131880 Stream Processors.(Also; Read the reviews)What are stream processors? Nothing new. Just a new term for the same old graphics technology;"A stream processor is an ALU which is usually involved in handling SIMD instructions. ALU stands for Arithmetic Logic Unit, which in English means "number cruncher". It's the part of the chip that does the actual computation involved in processing data. Nearly every chip around today no matter if its in your video card or your coffee maker has at least one ALU. "SIMD instruction" means that it crunches a group or "stream" of numbers all at once rather than one at a time. For the RV740, the number you hear is 640 "stream processors" because each of the eight shader cores has sixteen execution units and each of those has five ALUs: 8 x 16 x 5 = 640."From MIME,http://forums.amd.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=12&threadid=113850(I like MIME's explanation)2) Better;http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161337320 Stream Processors(Also; Read the reviews)More added info on graphics technology;A) http://computer.howstuffworks.com/graphics-card.htmB) http://computer.howstuffworks.com/3dgraphics.htmC) http://computer.howstuffworks.com/agp.htmRegards,joecoolvette

The board will not boot...

This seems to be a problem with your motherboard as I can see that's the oldest parts that yu haven't tried changing yet, that's fine for the mean time you can also do this as the last step for the this troubleshooting and isolation before changing the motherboard. You can do the jumper on your motherboard that is by putting the jumper setting of your board since you have a old motherboard I suggest you download the user manual for it so you can see the procedure to do the jumper settings on it and if still not working after that board needs replacement already......

I need intel DESKTOP motherboard model D845EBG2

Here is the link, the bios update is at the top of the page.

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=823&OSFullName=All+Operating+Systems&lang=eng&strOSs=All&submit=Go%21

Good luck, and make sure you have a good power source and do not interrupt the flashing of the bios. If it stops in the middle of flashing, it will brick your motherboard and make it probably not fixable.

How long does the Intel i7-930 processor expected to last?

The best way to prolong life of a computer is to blow out dust from the case and cooling fins and power supply regularly, at least every year. That prevents overheating - a primary cause of component failure. Do not overclock. Do periodic full disk backups and intermediate new file ones. Leapfrog between two external disks. They are cheap. Protect them from fire. Laptops - same story,, do not block cooling holes by putting on a blanket while lounging. And turn off machine before blowing out dust. Do not use full PSI compressor air! maybe 20 PSI...

Intel D865GVHZ Motherboard won't boot into anything but will turn on

If your Intel D865GVHZ motherboard is not booting and you've tried replacing the CMOS battery, resetting it, reseating RAM, and changing the PSU, it may indicate a more serious hardware issue. You should consider checking the following: 1. Check the monitor: Ensure that the monitor is functioning correctly by trying it with another computer. 2. Check the connections: Verify that all cables, including the power and video cables, are securely connected. 3. Inspect for hardware failures: Check for any visible signs of hardware damage or loose components on the motherboard. 4. Test with minimal hardware: Disconnect all unnecessary peripherals (e.g., external drives, graphics cards) and leave only the essentials connected (CPU, RAM, power, and monitor) to rule out any conflicts or faulty hardware. 5. Try a different RAM: If possible, test with different RAM modules to rule out faulty memory. 6. Listen for beep codes: If your motherboard has a speaker, listen for any beep codes during startup, as they can provide clues about the issue. 7. Inspect the CPU: Check the CPU for any damage or bent pins, and ensure it's seated correctly. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it's possible that your motherboard or other critical components may have failed, and you may need to consider a replacement or professional diagnostics to pinpoint the exact problem.
