Hooked up my connex 3300hp backwards
this usually just blows the fuse, check/replace and try again, if it pops the fuse, the protection diode has shorted and the radio needs to be serviced
What watt dead key and swing on CONNEX 3300 HP
A standard 3300 hp I seen get up to 40 watts peak,
normally I would turn the audio pot up all the way never snip anything and deadkey down to 2 watts. Than adjust for forward swing, I also never run a pwr mic. Good luck
Connex 4300 not getting out to far
first thging to check is you swr get it as close 1.5 as you can if its to high this could be your problem could be as simple as tuning your antenna or installing good mini 8 coax 18ft long only run 1 antenna and make sure antenna is grounded good thats where i would start if that dont work take radio to a reliable shop like communications unlimited in hebron oh have them check it but a good reputable shop not joe blow hope this helps
How do i fix my connex 3300 cb radio it went ground
the reverse voltage diode protection has gone short
you simply need to cut the diode then get down say a big thankyou and hope your CB is alive a tip is to look for a diode like a 1n4007 or 1n4007 just behind the power socket or on the pcb across the + and grounding you can measure it with a multimeter
a tip to find a bad short is this set the multimeter to 20ohm range and not beep then you can test youll see the closer you get too the short the less the resistance becomes so you can be sure of the diode to cut... other than this there is usually a coil also on + and - to filter out rf garbage from a cars ignitions etc {not needed now} anyway this small block coil can melt
however if this has happened then its gubbed a good test is does it complain before you switch it on or after if its dead short before then the protection diode is gone if you then find when you switch it on it blows fuses then the audio ic has failed
there is many more things can go wrong with cb radios i can help so try these things lets see
Need to tighten volume knob on my connex 4300hp
I'm assuming you mean just the knob, and not the shaft behind it, if it's a D shaped shaft, a slip of paper in the knob will tighten it up, if it's knurled and round shaft, spread the split in the middle open slightly until the knob is tight
