First thing to do to speed up a computer even with this slow processor is to remove some unnecessary program installed on the computer, then run a good anti virus and anti malware software some Avast and Malwarebytes to make sure that not a virus or malware is causing this slow computer and the best thing to is to add up a Mermoy on your computer that will surely make it much faster....

1) Please make sure that the HDD IDE cable is plugged in properly on both ends. It is a 40 pin female cord which should be seated on IDE channel 1 on the motherboard. 2) Make sure that all the CD/DVD drives are on IDE 2 or on SATA 3) Make sure taht the Jumper setting on the back of the HDD is set to MASTER 4) Login to bios and make see if you can find the HDD from the IDE drives menu. I am sure you will. From Boot menu select the NATIVE mode that will activate both the SATA and the IDE channels. Select HDD as second boot device.

when you download avg free the licence will be attached to it you must copy and paste it into a word/word pad then save it into my documents at some stage avg free will ask you for a key i have had this problem myself and I have heard of other people which had the same thing happen to them rather than download it again and do do the same then copy and paste it back in
