I bought an intel 815 board with compaq logo,i have 1GH intel proceesor,512Ram and 80GB hard disk;When I turn on the system,it give the following error with F1 to boot,but it boot successfully 1801 microcode patch error,invalid or missing microcode, contact your ROM BIOS manufacturer for new BIOS for new PROCESSOR STEPPING.

My new computer did not have an owner's manual, and I can't seem to figure out how to use the memory card reader. It supports the Smart Media card, but I can't find a slot on the front that is the correct size.
Any ideas? As you can probably detect, I am a novice using media readers; and could probably use a manual for the computer as a whole.

smart media cards should be supported, it's normally called a 5 in 1 card reader, if the card appears smaller than the slot, just hold it with your finger tips and insert and you will find it shoould only go so far then click into place, if it appears to go upto your finger tips it isn't supported, although it should be, only memory card duo type need an adapter

took off alterator regulator in side . want to put on alter- with out side regualator. alter- has a tbattery terminal im ok with that &stator terminal not sure where this goes on regulator has field post im ok with that. putting all this on a new holland skid loader . its a 1979 ford alternator ®ulator has 3- post bat-&gen-&field . & need to know what wires go to switch for charging batt. thank you mike

in my hardware (device manager) for my gateway m285-e tablet theres a yellow question mark next to my mass storage controller. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the supposed driver but it will not work. What can I do?
The Vista Memory Stick Driver from the Sony Site does correct the problem on a Windows 7 clean install as well.

When my computer downloads automatic updates, they will not download.
A "hpudelpacks.exe has stopped working" will pop up. I cannot find out what it is, where it is and/or how to fix it.

I had the same problem. When I finally reached HP about this they said that it could be my firewall. You can turn off the firewall then download.
I opted for the second solution, which worked just fine: uninstall, then reinstall the HP update program.
Click START, then CONTROL PANEL, then PROGRAMS AND FEATURES. Select HP Update program from the list, then click uninstall.
When this is finished, then reinstall from Recovery Manager. Go to this website: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c00834921&dlc=en

When I want to use my local radio's AdiovVault, I get the error message "Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you are trying to play, burn, or sync an item that is in your library, the item might point to a file that has been moved, renamed, or deleted." What can I do ti fix this. I have downloaded Media player 11 but did not remove the older version before doing so.

you must uninstall both versions of media player then reboot and install version 11
to do this go to Start/control panel/add remove programs scroll down to media player and uninstall them

we have purchased on processor

but when we start our system its process hangs
We want urgent resolution from your end
thtts becaseu ur mobo wont support this it most likely has a higher front side bus thn ur mobo can support
so gogle the cpu u bought and on any site it should tell u tht it supports something mhz front side bus
after tht google ur mobo andcheck the front side bus for tht and if ur front sideof ur cpu is higher thtn the one of the mobo then it wont work
or it ould be tht u hav a diferent socket i highly doubt this becaeu difernt sockets wont fit on to one another

It's an Acer Aspire 5100. I have 2g ofRam and its the integrated Ati Radeon 1100, 256mb of video memory. Iwas hoping that with a new video card the 2g of ram wouldn't be such awaste. Can I upgrade my video card, and if so what is compatible.
Sorry, but if it has intergrated video as you say then video card is NOT upgradable, simply because it does not have a card (It is intergrated into motherboard). That unit can take up to 4GB of ram 2GBX2 DDR2 PC25300 200pin SODIMM $56.00@ crucial.com. It is able to share an dditional 256mb of memory from system for a total of 512mb memory on video. With a little research u should also be able to upgrade the cpu.
