Sony Ericsson K810i Unlocked, Cyber Shot Cell Phone - Page 7 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

If you're up to it, remove the top cover of the case and look for any signs of burning or overheating (unplug first). It sounds very much like the Phono Preamp has gone.

After a little research I discovered that Behringer has had problems in the past with there power supplys so I replaced the faulty one and so far the problem has been solved. Our local power company has been sending to much power to our church building and that is what caused to old power supply to burn out. We are still trying to get them to take care of their issues.

A magnetic cartridge produces an output of only a few millivolts and so not only should it be connected to an input with RIAA correction for the best sound, the input should provide full amplifier output from those few millivolts.
The sensitivity of a line in or auxilliary input can be anything from around 900 millivolts to 2.5 volts with 1 - 1.5 volts being typical and without that important RIAA correction. Read more about that here...

I suggest you invest in a suitable preamplifier.

Hello Dennis, tell what computer you have, make and model, to try to find the best possible solution
If you have a Notebook, usually you will find in the upper bar of keys, the Functions, two or three keys that has the drawing of a speaker, one is to lower the volume, the other to go up and if there is a third key is what Mute does, so that these keys fulfill the mission of raising or lowering you have to press them simultaneously with the Function key (fn), which is usual to find it in the lower bar of keys, on the left side of the keyboard, next to the Control key (ctrl)
See if with these indications you can hear the sound
But comment, make and model
I hope you can solve it
Greetings Franco Dosil
Sino comenta, marca y modelo
Espero que puedas resolverlo
