Mecha error 03
you need to replace the pinch motor assembly part number:3F4820RH
Mecha error 07
Mecha error 07 and 08 are malfunctions of the paper feed pinch motor located in the right side of the paper compartment. The paper feed pinch is the first roller to grab the paper when it feeds into the machine. This error is tricky. I will walk you through a few fixes.
The first fix is to just power cycle the printer and try to reload the paper. Occasionally the pinch arm will end up in the wrong position due to the printer stopping because the ribbon was empty.
The second fix is to check and make sure that the sensor arm is reaching both sensors on the motor. Sometimes the arm binds on the metal plate inside the paper compartment causing it to not reach the sensor.
The third fix is to start replacing parts. The two things to start with would be the sensors and, although rare, the motor itself. After those are ruled out the only other options are the wiring harness running from the sensors to the junction board, the junction board itself, the power cable running from the junction board to the controller board, and then finally the controller board itself.
Good luck!
Kodak 6800 papper jam 02
replace the paper edge sensor. spider eyes just where the paper feed to the center. part number: 3E6924RH
Paper jam 71
Paper jam 71 is an error that occurs when a driver on the controller board (IC-28) begins to wear out, or the timing gets thrown off. This causes one paper feed motor to drag the other one. This error is normally accompanied by a loud grinding noise because of this. Kodak's newest firmware version is supposed to fix the problem. If that has no effect then the fix is to replaced the controller board.
Good luck.
