You cannot directly. You must use an AV Receiver, or at the very least, a sound bar.

Since this is a powered subwoofer, the problem is most likely in the electronics. The most likely component in the amp would the output device. You could look inside to see if it actually has any discreet components in the output. It may just be a single integrated circuit. If you have a surround sound system at home and you have speakers with it you switch your speakers with the Martin ash speakers and hook them up the same way you have your old surround sound speakers but if you do not have a surround sound system already you need a receiver

The trigger has nothing to do with audio and is to activate another device with a 12v signal, for example the screen. If you run the trigger into an audio device you'll probably kill it.

There are NO audio capabilities in this unit.

okay, 1080 Series isnt the model... the model number is on a sticker on the back, and that's what you need to find first. Just from the description, though, sounds like your focus block is bad; that will cause the problem you are describing... not cheap, but way cheaper than a new TV.

plug your cable box and dvd/blue ray to the home theatre(audio AND video) , and then plug the home theatre's video output to the tv.
