The left channel on our Pioneer VSX-D409 is weak. Some sound is coming through, but very little. We have double checked the wire and the connection in back. Everything there is kosher. Any ideas?

Check the balance control. Apart from that the unit will have to be checked internally to ascertain where the signal is breaking down. This will require some skill and some equipment. My guess is it will be a dry solder joint or a dried out capacitor. If a capacitor looks 'leaky' or swollen, it is a good bet it is outside its tolerance and should be replaced. Sorry couldn't be any better help. Good luck.

Pioneer receiver sx218 push power on clicks but nothing in front or any other sounds any ideas

If your Pioneer SX-218 receiver is not producing any sound or showing any indication of power, despite hearing a clicking sound when you push the power button, there could be a few potential causes for the issue:
  1. Power Supply: Verify that the receiver is properly connected to a working power outlet and that the power cable is securely plugged in. Check for any loose connections or damaged power cords. Try plugging the receiver into a different power outlet to eliminate the possibility of a faulty outlet causing the issue.
  2. Protection Mode: Some receivers have built-in protection mechanisms that activate in case of a fault or short circuit. This can cause the receiver to shut down and not produce any sound. Check for any obvious issues, such as loose speaker wires or a shorted speaker. Disconnect all speakers and peripherals from the receiver, then power it on to see if it starts up. If it does, gradually reconnect the speakers and peripherals one by one to identify any potential issues.
  3. Speaker Impedance: Ensure that the speakers connected to the receiver have the correct impedance rating compatible with the receiver's specifications. Using speakers with impedance levels outside the recommended range can cause the receiver to go into protection mode or produce no sound.
  4. Reset the Receiver: Perform a factory reset on the receiver to eliminate any settings-related issues. Refer to the user manual or the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to reset your specific model. Keep in mind that a factory reset will erase any custom settings and configurations, so you may need to set up the receiver again afterward.
  5. Internal Component Fault: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there may be an internal component failure in the receiver. In such cases, it is recommended to contact Pioneer customer support or consult a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.
Remember to consult the user manual for your Pioneer SX-218 receiver for specific troubleshooting steps and instructions tailored to your model. If you are unsure or uncomfortable performing any troubleshooting steps, it's best to seek professional assistance to avoid causing further damage to the receiver.

How to program my sanyogxdb remote to w ok rk my pioneer elite vsx 33 rece v er

To program your Sanyo GXDB remote to work with your Pioneer Elite VSX 33 receiver, you can try the following steps:
  1. Turn on the Pioneer Elite VSX 33 receiver manually using the power button located on the receiver itself.
  2. Hold down the "Code Search" button on your Sanyo GXDB remote until the LED light on the remote stays lit or blinks.
  3. Press the "TV" or "DVD" button on the remote, depending on which device mode you want to program the receiver to.
  4. Enter the corresponding code for Pioneer receivers. You can find a list of Pioneer remote control codes in the instruction manual that came with your Sanyo GXDB remote or by searching online. Enter the code using the number buttons on the remote.
  5. Point the remote at the Pioneer receiver and press the "Power" button. If the receiver turns off, it means the remote has been successfully programmed. If not, repeat the process using a different code from the list until you find the one that works.
  6. Once the remote successfully turns off the receiver, press the "Code Search" button again to save the code. The LED light on the remote should turn off or stop blinking.
  7. Test the remote by pressing other buttons, such as volume up/down or channel up/down, to ensure it is functioning properly with your Pioneer Elite VSX 33 receiver.
If you're still having trouble programming the remote, consult the instruction manual that came with the Sanyo GXDB remote or contact Sanyo customer support for further assistance.

Pioneer vsx-902 receiver comes on but No display.

I am assuming the receiver is new. In this regard, if the Pioneer VSX-902 receiver is turning on but you're not seeing any display, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the video connections: Ensure that the HDMI, component, or other video cables are securely connected between the receiver and your display device (such as a TV or projector). Make sure the cables are inserted properly and that they are in good condition. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the cables to ensure a secure connection.
  2. Verify the input and output settings: Check that the receiver's input source is correctly selected. Use the remote control or front panel buttons to cycle through the different input options until you find the one connected to your video source. Additionally, confirm that the output settings of the receiver are properly configured to match your display device.
  3. Check the display settings: Some receivers have options for adjusting the display settings, such as brightness, contrast, or resolution. Check the receiver's on-screen menu (if available) or refer to the user manual to access the display settings and make sure they are properly configured.
  4. Perform a factory reset: Try performing a factory reset on your Pioneer VSX-902 receiver. This can often resolve any software-related issues that may be affecting the display. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset specific to your model.
  5. Test with a different display device: If possible, try connecting your receiver to a different display device (such as a different TV or monitor) to determine if the issue lies with the receiver or the original display. This can help narrow down the problem and identify if it's related to the receiver or the specific connection or settings with the original display.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's recommended to contact Pioneer customer support or consult a professional technician for further assistance.
