I had a similar problem with my HP 3650. I can install my printer on windows XP but not windows 7. I had to download the drivers compatible with windows 7 for the printer on the internet,Hope this will help

Contact Lexmark and Get the Scanner Replaced if its Under Warranty as the Flat Bed Scanner is not working Fine and its Malfunctioning

It could be the fax line in the wall. Try to insert a telephone straight to the wall and listen for a dial tone. If you hear no dial tone, please contact your phone company and have them check the line. If you hear a dial tone, re-plug the printer into the wall using a different known working telephone cable. Try to fax again.

The "1200" error message can be caused either by the cartridges that are not snapped in correctly, the encoder strip (transparent strip) is not in its position or something is blocking the cartridge carrier path. Sorry, but Lexmark does a check on the color cartridges before printing. Even if you are only printing in B/W, the printer will refuse to work without color cartridges installed and full of ink.

Sometimes, it take awhile for the ink to reach completely into the printhead.
Perform a printhead cleaning cycle should correct the problem.

The error 1203 is a cartridge error. It is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge slot is bad
To solve it try this. This solution works

• Try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again OR
• When error shows up, Turn the printer to Power Off. Wait one minute and turn it back on.

Your problem will be solved.

The error 1203 is a cartridge error. The cartridge either went bad or you might have bought a bad one. Try turning the power off and unplugging the printer. Then reseat the cartridges. Then plug the printer back into the wall outlet ( do not use a power strip) turn the printer back on. If the issue is still there then try removing and reinstalling the cartridges with the power on. If this still doe not correct the issue try a different cartridge.

Turn off power to the printer and unplug it from the back of the printer.
Insert the power cord back into the printer. You will hear some clicks and motors moving. Pull out the cord again when this happens.Open the cartridge bay by pulling the face forward and lifting the bay door up. The cartridge carousel most likely will not come to the center.By trying physically pulling the carousel to the middle (NOT BY THE RIBBON CABLE) ,if you can not pull it to the middle push it far right as possible. Listen for a click.
After pushing to the right and hearing a click you should then be able to pull the carousel towards the middle easily. Remove the ink cartridges and power up the printer again.You will receive an error along the lines of black cartridge missing. Open the bay, insert the cartridges, close the bay.Your problem is fixed.
