Whenever I try to print

Try to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver and set up or add again the printer once more. I believe the printer driver is corrupted and needs to reinstall again.

My printer after 1/2 page with say hardwaRE ERROR
After months of use, your printer might get the habit of stopping in the middle of a page and showing "Hardware Error 0502" on the LCD display. If you leave the printer alone for a while, it might start printing again. Then again, it might not. Pretty annoying.
The Lexmark support site will let you power off, remove the power cord for 30 seconds, take out the cartridges and fiddle with some encoder strip. This whole procedure might take you up to 30 minutes and it will not help (been there, done that).
On the multi function machine seems to be a coating on the metal rod that the cartridges travel on. Just wipe this rod with a kleenex and the problem seems to go away. Somehow it presents a drag on the cartridges and causes an error.
Clean that with a paper towel. The towel will be black from ink residue, but you will be able to print again.
Hi my scanner is not
Make Sure Scanner is powered up and connected via USB
Connect scanner to a different USB port in your PC.
If it prompts to install driver, reinstall it with the provided drivers.
Go to Control Panel -> Devices and Printers & see if you can detect Lexmark scanner there.
If still not, you can try out a different OS or a laptop just to make sure that scanner is working properly.Post results if you tried this option.

My printer will not print in color, black/white
Assuming the colour cartridge is good, and the printer see's it ok. The only other part to check is the printer settings. Ensure that the printer does not have the "greyscale printing" box checked.
