It's look like a water level switch issue. The switch level is usually a diaphragm device with a small clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. The humming is indicative that the start / run capacitor on the pump motor has failed. The capacitor gives the motor a voltage bump to get it turning. That is either not the whole model number or it is not correct. There maybe a float switch in the machine that is sensing a high water level and is shutting the machine down. It is impossible to tell without the right model number.

If the drain pump is running but not draining the unit, the hose may be clogged. If it drains for rinsing but not after the wash cycle, the problem would seem to be the control board. Probably just replace.

Most all dishwashers have what looks like a air hockey striker. This is the float. It should move freely up and down. Not to much travel.
Next would check for a faulty water inlet valve.
These in my opinion would be the two most likely culprits.
