Kelvinator 24 in. MDB222RB Built-in Dishwasher Questions & Answers
Kelvinator kd14ss
This is a common problem with this machine. Per the manual E4 indicates that the machine is overloaded but this is incorrect. The machines has actually become water logged due to a design fault whereby some water is allowed to pool at the bottom of the machine rather being efficiently drained. Note that the area where the water pools is not rust resistant. To temporarily overcome the E4 error, tilt your machine backwards and the excess water will drain out the back corners. Remember to put some towels down to avoid a big mop up operation afterwards. I live in a coastal area so drain the machine this way once a month and then open up the back of the machine (don't do this if still under warrantee) to dry it out completely to minimise the rust.
