After you have properly installed the Camera driver software, DO NOT unplug the camera from the USB port while it is operation. Always turn off the computer before unplugging it and always plug it in before starting the computer or after it is up and running.

4.Run down the list setting your defaults
5.Select your webcam as the default microphone.
6.Make a free test call
7.Click 'Save'
8.In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
9.This will launch your webcam
10.Adjust quality of picture in 'Settings'
11.Check the correct webcam is shown as default
12.Click Save
13.Test your webcam by making a Skype test call.

Did you happen to get a cd with thyat icecam? if so, then you need to uninstall it, unplug it from your mac book. and using the cd driver, run the installation again and plug it back into your mac book. another thing that you might want to do is to run up manually for your mac book. sometimes the drivers for the usb ports need to be updated.

Run the program to use this webcam. In that you would be able to set up various items like color, hue, contrast etc etc. tweak all of them and set the best possible picture. Also rotate the ring around the lens. Both clockwise and anticlockwise to focus on to you to get the clearest picture.

As it's a Macally product is almost certainly designed for use on a Mac. Just plugging it in ought to be sufficient. I don't know if that would work with Windows though.

If you have a Windows XP or Vista machine, you have software already to do this. Windows Movie Maker will allow you to capture video from your webcam. Open the Program and select the Capture video option.
