Will it shut off using the controls mounted on the side of the unit? If it does, then I would check the batteries in the remote.

You must have a direct internet connection or a WI-FI connection to the internet established on your tv. This is done in the set up menu. Once you have that then it will give you step by step instructions on how to access you movies/netflix

TV has to be connected to internet, then use your remote to go to setup. You will find, somewhere in the setup, a section that refers to network connection.

Although there is a menu for wireless connection, unless you purchased a separate SAMSUNG wireless LAN adapter, you cannot use the wireless connectivity functions of the TV.
