i recommend you that your download free from the manufacturer supplier flatbed scanner. Sometimes the driver is coming with the disk setup.God bless you

By Windows 10, I'm assuming you mean Windows XP? Or perhaps Vista?Regardless, either version, if you have the scanner plugged into your USB, it should either detect it and start to install it's drivers, or just continue spinning and looking for drivers and not find any. If the latter is the case, I recommend you do the following:-- visit Mercury-PC's website (thats the maker of the scanner)http://www.mercury-pc.com/product-detail.php?link=p-others&subtitle=Scanner&productid=749-- Click on the download drivers link-- Choose the proper driver for your windows computer (again, it sounds like you have windows XP, but you should make sure before you choose the wrong one)-- install the file it downloads for you and follow the on screen instructions (It will more than likely ask that you plug the scanner in)This should fix the issue, 9 times out of 10, drivers are necessary for electronics being connected to your computer to work.
