Error 02 indicates a problem accessing the memory card. Try formatting the card and see if that cures the problem, if not try a different card. If neither helps you probably will need to send it to Canon for service.

Error 99 is a generic error code that usually, but not always, means some kind of lens error. You will need to go to the support section of the Canon website to get specific instructions for your model camera. After 21/2 years, you might try cleaning the contacts on the camera body and the lens where they meet using a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol.

this is a classic ccd problem.. you have a internal ccd falt.. if the camera have garantie ship it to the seller. if you dont have garantie..this is a problem that can solve a professionist. why change the ccd is not so dificult if you have a specific knowledge. if you dont have knowledge you can make this only if you have a expert that give you diect istruction..and it is not so easy. if you was here in italy i can help you but we are to far. prove to contact this mail and explain the problem and ask how mutch is the cost to fix it

I am experiencing the same problem. Upon zooming in the streak gets bigger as well. It does NOT remain static. I need to thry to upload the pictures and see if the streak is there as well. I am trying a complete restart. (IE take lens off and take the battery out for 30 plus minutes

I THINK IT WILL BE LITTLE COSTLIER TO GET THE WHOLE SHUTTER BLADES REPLACED.IF U WOULD HAVE BEEN IN INDIA I WOULD HAVE GIVEN U SOME CHEAPER OPTION(LIKE REPLACING ONLY DEFECTIVE BLADE ONLY)WHICH NO SERVICE CENTRE WILL GIVE YOU.ANYWAY GET IT REPLACED FROM REPUTED EXPERIENCED REPAIRER & CHECK SLOWEST & FASTEST SPEEDS AFTER REPAIRING THE CAMERA.REPLY ME WITHOUT FAIL THANK YOU & ALL THE BEST.

You should be using a class 6 or 10 card with a fast write speed.

Most likely the shutter blind is sticking and not getting out the way when you take a picture. It will need a service.

Use a card reader instead.

heres the answer to the dreaded 99 error
acquire a penscil withy an eraser on the end
remove lens and hold it mount down but at a height that you can rub the pins so that the swarf does not drop into the mechanism.

Do the same to the pins on the camera, also holding it face down also to stop the swarf getting into mechanism. Once they are cleaned off use a can of compressed air and blow out the lens and the camjera ( being carful not to blow too hard on/around the mirror

Remount the lens and ...happy days!

well ur problem is not clear there is not enough info. camera name model etc. Sandy

use only the specified or recommended cf cards, I know ultra fast is not compatible to digicam two or more years older models.
