How do set the camera

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Screen says card is locked

Hello

OK, if the memory card itself is locked, you might sometimes get this error code. All you need to do is to take out the memory card and switch the lever on the left side to the unlock.

If the error is still displayed after you did the above, you might want to try the card in another camera.

If the card works in another camera . the problem is with your card reader in your camera.

If you open you sd slot and look inside with a sharp light , you should be able to see on the left side of the slot there is a little copper or spring steel lever switch. This switch work as follows:

1. When no card is inserted / no write protection , the switch is open and thus the protection is off.
2. When locked card is inserted , the tab is depressed and tells the camera that the card is lock.

Contrary to popular belief ,the little tab on the sd card is not an electronic switch and does not physically influence the card operation itself. If you put a locked card into a camera without a sd lock switch , you would still be able to use the card normally.

It is incredible difficult to fix this switch because of space limitations in the sd card. Look into the sd slot and if you can see the switch , use a needle to pull the little tab down toward the base of the camera by about 2mm or until it works being careful not to bend it.

If this does not resolve your problem , there might be a short in the switch circuit and the camera will need to be disassembled to resolve this error. This should cost no more than $50.

Please feel free to contact me if you need further information

Kind regards
Andrea

My camera won't turn on

Your battery is defective. Call tech support and tell them you have the EXZ75 but DO NOT tell them that you have had it for over 2 years and they will replace it for you for free. :)

Lens error

Does it stay when you turn it off and back on again? These cameras have a function that shuts the camera down when there's a mechanical obstruction to the lens extension, It shuts it down to prevent more serious damage to the mechanism. Problem is, sometimes when triggered it doesn't return to normal. Try resetting it, either by the regular procedure, or by taking out the batteries for a few minutes. keep in mind that the lens barrel of this Casio unit is almost all the way to the left edge of the camera. Inevitably, when you hold the camera with two hands, one of the fingers of the left hand will overlap onto the front left edge of the unit, which, in fact, puts a portion of the finger on top of the edge of the extending lens barrel, either slowing its extension outward or aborting the extension process altogether. Even when you instantly jerk your finger away instinctively when the barrel rides the edge of your finger, you still have affected or interrupted the barrel extension process. In my opinion, a design flaw, but who am I to say? Good luck ;]

Camera no screen display

I wish this guy with the twist it blow it and bash it would take his advice eleswhere. He reckons it's the cure all for every digital camera with an extending lens. I've had a couple of the RR10s exhibit no life except a few flashes of an LED. The simple fix was to firmly squeeze the lower half of the camera's front and rear together. What happens is that either over time or if subjected to a slight shock the two main circuit boards part company at a rather large multipin plug and socket. Squeezing the front and rear (just above the hump at the bottom front of the camera)makes this plug and socket return to where they should be. The first one took me about 2 hours trying to figure out but the second took me about 4 seconds to get working again. WARNING don't overdo the squeeze be firm but not aggressive. I use both thumbs on the front and fingers on the back but stay clear of the LCD.

System error

sounds like the firmware on your camera is faulty, or some other hardware error, If this camera is within manufacturer warranty, then they should fix it for free, it will need to be sent for repairs either way.

Casio exilim ex-24u

more than likely you will have to send it in. I don't think there is anything that you can do to fix that at home. If the pics still come out ok you can live with it. If pics get blurry then you will have to send it in.
